Coming up at Redeemer:
Mark your calendars! Our annual church picnic will take place at 10 AM on August 23. We'll gather outside for one service. Keep your eyes open for sign-ups for the pitch-in.
At the conclusion of service on February 22, we brought back our Family Chat. Family Chats exist for the purpose of sharing various updates to our church body about where we sense the Lord leading us as a church.
In this family chat, Pastor Mark shared a couple of updates that we desire our people to be aware of. These updates are available to be seen in detail in the video attached to this email, but in summary, the Elders sense an influx of comfort in our sending base. Since we first rolled out our Sent Campaign back in 2018, we have firmly believed that we are a church that is to live sent in order to fulfill our mission of glorifying God by making disciples.
And since the first Sunday in our church history when we preached Ephesians 3:20-21, we have seen God repeatedly do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine, all for his glory.
In light of this, the Elders have sensed the Lord leading a reinforcing a commitment to this sent reality. Rather than expanding our building and increasing our levels of comfort, we feel the Lord is leading us to allocate our resources to begin to aggressively pay down debt on our mortgage, so that we can better leverage our resources to live out our sent mission.
As the Elders began sensing this, an anonymous family from our church approached Pastor Mark and offered to match dollar for dollar up to $1 million over 12 months any money given to pay off the debt for our building. Praise the Lord!
In the next month, our elders will use $1.5 million from our cash reserves to make a lump sum payment on our mortgage, and over the next 12 months, every dollar above and beyond our operating expenses will go toward paying off debt reduction.
This $1.5 million lump sum payment, $1 million in giving from our church, and this $1 million match from our anonymous donor will shorten our loan by 15 years, and save over $4.5 million in interest payments, and $530,000 per year in mortgage payments.
We don’t want to put a label on specific ways this money will be used, as we know throughout our 10 years as a church, God has and will continue to bring ministry opportunities to us we never would have dreamed up. Simply put, he will do immeasurably more.
Join us in praying over the next 12 months that the Lord would generously provide and that our debt would be eliminated, seek the Lord in what he is calling you to give, give faithfully and sacrificially as He leads, and above all, pray the Lord would continue to do immeasurably more than all we could ask imagine, all for His glory.
As questions arise, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’d love to hear from you, so please email elders@redeemerbible.church with questions.

Redeemer, you are loved, and you are sent.
Our next Baptism Sunday is August 9th! If the Holy Spirit is prompting you to make a public profession of your faith, let us know in the Prayer & Care requests section of our app and we will follow up with you.
What might the Lord do is response to his people gathering 12 Tuesdays a year to pray? We gather the first Tuesday of each month for elder-led prayer and fellowship. We’ll see you August 4th!
Redeemer Kids M-M-A takes place on the third Thursday of each month, and it provides an opportunity for fellowship and discipleship amongst the moms of Redeemer. Our next M-M-A will take place August 20th at the Greenwood Sports Park. Join us from 10-12 for Chick-Fil-A and fellowship.
Join us August 2nd for 10-15 minutes immediately following service for a chance to meet the staff, and for us to share the mission and vision of Redeemer. Step 1 takes place in the prayer room after both the 9 am and 11 am service.
We meet for 60 minutes bimonthly during the second service to dive into who we are as a church, what we believe, and how the Lord has asked us to live in light of that. Our next Step 2 meeting takes place July 19th during the 11 AM service. Breakfast is provided so please make sure to let us know you’re coming!

LAST SUNDAY:
Luke 7:1-17 | Why should we trust Jesus with every part of our lives? Luke 7 answers that question by revealing not only what Jesus can do, but who he truly is. Through the healing of the centurion's servant and the raising of the widow's son, Jesus displays unmatched authority over death alongside astonishing compassion for the broken. Seeing his glory doesn't merely produce admiration—it gives us confidence to follow him with our whole lives.
