A Foot-Washing Servant Savior

Jesus did something absolutely shocking at a dinner with His disciples. It was a radical act of love, but one that He called them to make normal in their lives as followers of Him. Jesus took the place as the lowest servant, and He calls our lives to the same thing. This is counterintuitive to the wisdom of the world and grates against the way of the flesh, and yet Jesus says blessed are we if we follow Him in this.
